Cascade Environmental Group has extensive experience identifying, planning, designing and constructing river, riparian, floodplain and wetland restoration projects in Oregon and Washington. Cascade manages all phases of restoration project development, from landscape assessments of restoration opportunities to construction oversight. We work with our clients to evaluate the environmental, regulatory, and infrastructure issues and constraints to identify opportunities and risks to restoration project implementation. Our approach is to work within the site constraints to design restoration projects that enhance and restore natural functions and watershed processes.
Cascade has completed more than twenty feasibility studies and constructed restoration projects in fresh-water and estuary systems. We are skilled at assessing habitat restoration project baseline conditions and ecological benefits through a variety of methods, including applying functional assessments using the Oregon Rapid Wetland Assessment Protocol, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (ODFW) aquatic habitat inventory approach, or hydro-geomorphic approaches. |
