Shoalwater bay mitigation bank
Tokeland, WA

Cascade is developing an estuarine mitigation bank for the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe, in Tokeland Washington. The mitigation bank will include breaching of privately owned levees on land to be held in trust by the Tribe. Approximately 200 acres of estuarine habitat will be restored through levee breaching, and tidal channel restoration. Cascade will lead agency negotiations, site design, and developing protection approaches for existing highway and private properties that would otherwise be exposed to tidal conditions.
