Data Analysis and GIS

GIS is an indispensable tool for creating, displaying, analyzing, and managing geographically referenced datasets. Cascade uses GIS products to view and evaluate project designs and model alternatives; create, manage and analyze scientific data; and extract and synthesize information from large and complex datasets. We utilize state-of-the-art ArcGIS software with 3D and hydrological analysis capabilities and highly accurate GPS units for field data collection applications. Our GIS products and services include the following:

·         Vegetation, habitat, and site feature mapping
·         Viewshed and line-of-sight analysis
·         Site suitability analysis
·         Hydrologic and hydraulic assessments and modeling
·         Landscape modeling, visualization, and spatial analysis
·         Watershed delineations and river reach and floodplain surface analysis
·         Visual aids for project planning and design
·         Geospatial database development
