Environmental Mitigation
The Cascade team designs ecological restoration projects for environmental mitigation and habitat enhancement. Our goal is to understand the existing ecological processes affecting the site and to employ proper design to establish self-sustaining stream, riparian, and wetland systems with minimal need for post-construction maintenance. Our team includes wetland and riverine experts; a botanist and horticulturist who is skilled in proper plant selection and installation techniques; a hydraulic engineer for design, model, and oversight of aquatic work; permitting and regulatory experts; and skilled CAD and GIS staff to support planning, design, and analysis. We are trained in statistically sound monitoring techniques for a range of ecological parameters and have extensive experience developing site monitoring methods.
